Course Outline

The easiest way to understand RADICAL LOVE is to liken it to taking a cruise. RADICAL LOVE is a voyage of discovery about who you are in relationship to God and your spouse. The destination is a total paradigm shift in the way couples think about married life. The shift in thinking is compiled into 10 easy to learn RADICAL LOVE principles. There are 14 ports of call that passengers or participants can disembark the ship and experience what the port has to offer. The name of the ship is marriage. The cruise line is RADICAL LOVE Its owner is God; and the captains are called RADICAL LOVE Facilitators and/or the DVDs purchased for in group or in home use. It’s a 12-week cruise. The majority of time couples are out at sea, however, once a week you will spend 2 hours in port. The departure time depends on where couples board the ship: a local church small group, or the at your local residence for those choosing home study. Times and departure locations vary.

Ports of Call

  1. Relationships: Reframe your experience with your spouse as an experience with God.
  2. Sin: Discover 4 results of sin and 3 questions they posed for Jesus and for us still today. Learn Jesus’ answers and succeed in relating to your spouse.
  3. Needs: Recognize 4 requirements common to male and female and which of those requirements strongly motivates in marriage.
  4. Flesh: Consider your marinade and when that flavor becomes most evident in marriage.
  5. Wounds: Learn where it hurts and why it hurts.
  6. Disguises: Identify the bandages used to cover the hurt.
  7. Strongholds: Understand 4 illegal holds designed to prevent you from responding to God and resolving conflict.
  8. Conflict: Find out why conflict is God’s request for something you have — and just what is He asking from you anyway?
  9. Forgiveness: Examine the 5 benefits of letting go and receive God’s grace to do so.
  10. Vision: Experience the power of living in your weakness, and gain the favor of God and your spouse.
  11. Vaulting: Resolve conflict by owning your contribution and requesting help from your spouse.
  12. Sex and Intimacy: Learn the difference; get more.
  13. Converting to Children: Begin again, you can!
  14. Naked and Not Ashamed: Reveal your true “self,” get the love and acceptance you desire, then offer it to your spouse unconditionally.
